Piloting 16-inch RO at Bedok Demo Plant

In the beginning, it was not sure whether the 16 inch RO could be successfully developed and if manufactured, how long would such a membrane last.

Piloting of the 16 inch RO was initiated at the PUB Bedok NEWater Factory in two phases , starting in 2004 .

From Dec 2004 to June 2006, GrahamTek piloted its 16 inch membranes using Koch’s elements at the Bedok NEWater Factory.

From Aug 2006 to 2008 GrahamTek piloted tested with Hydronautics and CSM 16-inch membranes in pilot skid built at the back of the PUB Bedok

Avoid printing where possible as it takes between 2 and 13 liters of water to produce a single A4 sheet of paper.
